Our aim is to grow, dye, design and make a linen garment entirely in London. We’re getting plots big and small all over the city to grow a patch of flax – the plant that becomes linen.
Our next step is to pool our harvests and come together at community events to turn it into thread for our community garment.
If you’d like to get involved, get in touch with us at email@example.com and let us know what you’re interested in or how you can help. We need breakers, hecklers, scutchers and spinners. (No previous experience required!) We also need people to tweet, pour tea, make cakes and take photographs and update Facebook. We’d also like to stream the event live on the internet so if you can help there, we’ll be able to include people who can’t make it to the workshops.
